Shearbrooke Farm is a working farm and studio belonging to Karen Smith and her menagerie of two dogs, a cat, many chickens, ducks, guineas, rabbits, a horse, two llamas, two rams, and a whole flock of sheep.

Ongoing classes are available in weaving, spinning, and knitting. An annual summer workshop brings participants from all over New England to learn an even wider variety of fiber crafts.

An adjoining shop has Bartlett yarn, knitting, weaving, and spinning supplies. Karen is also a dealer of Beka, Louet, Ashford, and Schacht looms and spinning wheels. The shop is open by chance or by appointment.

Shearbrooke Farm is easy to find in Standish, 400 Saco Road (Rte. 22 - originating as Congress St. in Portland). Watch for the black and white sign about two miles north of the Bonny Eagle High School.
